What a great couple of weeks of racing Cayden Maccachren crushed in both the California 300 and the Best in the Desert Laughlin Desert Challenge. Son of the "GOAT" Off-Road Racer, Rob Maccacrhen, Cayden has stepped up to the plate and is a real threat to the big boys in the Trophy Truck ranks. Two second-place finishes in less than several weeks is an incredible feat for any TT driver and truck. Cayden's dad has been seated in an Arizona-based Geiser Truck for a long time. Cayden drove his dad's TT to the podium at both races. Only behind the Grabowski Brothers at the California 300 and BJ Baldwin at BITD Laughlin Desert Challenge.

DIRT ALLIANCE sponsored the Laughlin Leap "Run What You Brung' Class. It brought back some good memories, but I like to look forward, so I was excited to make a grip of new ones.

Alexia Leaming and Chris Leaming XTC Racing crushed it at the Best in the Desert Laughlin Leap. Chris scored a 1st place jump at 115.5ft, and Alexia grabbed 4th. On race day, the family focused on Alexia. In her Super Stock UTV, Alexia followed her tradition of top 5 finishes. This young Arizona Lady killed it with a 4th place finish.

A few legacy Arizona Families were out and podiumed. Conor McMullen grabbed 3rd place at the Leap. I asked which he liked racing more, the Truck or the Buggy, and without thought, he said the buggy. Arizona legend Todd Wylie podiumed as well. It's been a while since I have seen Todd, and it was great to see Todd flying high again, this time with two trucks

Andy McMillin was getting seat positioning dialed in inside the Bryce Menzies #7 Trophy Truck. The duo will once again try to overall the SCORE Baja 1000 in the Red Bull Trophy Truck. Andy McMillin is a five-time Overall Baja 1000 Champion and is looking forward to teaming up with Bryce for the win.
